Get listed
Listings are compiled by hand, so a submission starts a research pass rather than creating a page. Free to list, about a fortnight to publish, and a draft to check before it goes live.
How it works
- 01
You send four things
Business name, market, the credential you hold, and a link to published pricing. Four fields.
- 02
We check the credential
Against the issuing body's own register, not against your website. If it cannot be confirmed, the listing runs without it rather than with a hedge.
- 03
We research the rest
Years active, weddings delivered, which tiers you actually sell, and the two or three constraints worth stating. Compiled by hand, which is why this takes a fortnight and not an hour.
- 04
You see it before it publishes
A draft goes to you first, and you can correct any fact on it. Position is set by the ranking criteria.
What we ask for
- Business name and market. The metro, not the town; satellite towns resolve to their parent.
- Credential and member number. Whatever the issuing body needs in order to confirm it.
- A starting price and its tier. Your cheapest published package, and what it covers.
- Years active and weddings delivered. Both get corroborated, so approximate is better than optimistic.
Common questions
How do I get my wedding business listed?
Submit through the form on this page. Listings are compiled by hand rather than harvested, so a submission starts a research pass rather than creating a page. That research is done against your own website.
Does it cost anything to be listed?
No. There is no listing fee, no featured placement and no paid ranking.
What do you need from me?
A working website with your services and location on it. Everything on a listing is taken from what you publish, so the fastest way to get listed well is to have your pricing, service tiers and service area stated clearly on your own site.
How long does it take to get listed?
It depends on whether your market is already live and whether the current list has room. A submission in a live market with a full list is held until the next research pass for that metro.
Why should I publish my prices?
Because it is a ranking input here and a qualifier everywhere else. Publishing a starting fee or a minimum budget filters out enquiries you would decline anyway, which is worth more than the enquiry volume it costs you. Around a third of the planners listed do it.
What if the information on my listing is wrong?
Tell us through this form and it will be re-checked against your website. Because every fact is drawn from your own pages, the quickest fix is usually to correct the page it came from.
Can I pay to rank higher?
No. Ranking is driven by what your business publishes and how long it has been trading, so the way to move up the list is to publish more verifiable detail.
Why was my business not included?
The most common reasons are being based outside the market, being a different kind of business such as a florist or a venue, or having no working website. Businesses are listed only in the metro they actually operate from, even when they travel.
Do you link to my website?
Yes. Every listing links out to the business's own site.
Do you offer marketing services?
Choose that option in the form and it will reach the right place. It is a separate conversation from getting listed, and being listed does not depend on it.
