Draft. This document has not been reviewed by a lawyer. The site collects no personal data and has no user accounts, but this text should be reviewed before launch.
Best Wedding Planners has no accounts and no server that receives your data. The listing form hands your answers to your own mail client rather than posting them anywhere.
What we collect from visitors
Nothing, unless you press Accept on the cookie notice. No analytics tag loads and no cookie is written before an affirmative choice, and pressing Reject stores that decision and loads nothing thereafter.
Your consent choice is stored in your own browser's local storage under a single key. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
Data about listed professionals
This is the part that matters on a directory, and the part most directories handle badly. A listing describes a person's business, and in a trade of sole traders that is frequently personal data about an identifiable person.
- Listings are compiled from published sources, the business's own site, the issuing body's public register, public review histories.
- Every listed business is shown a draft before publication and can correct any statement of fact.
- A removal request is honoured without argument, without a retention period, and without requiring a reason.
- We do not publish home addresses, personal mobile numbers, or any contact route the business has not itself published.
State privacy laws
A live version of this site would fall under the CCPA/CPRA in California and equivalent statutes in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and a growing list of other states. Those regimes carry access, correction and deletion rights, and an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information.
This site sells and shares nothing. That would need restating, and properly reviewed, before any real listing went live.
Third parties
Fonts are self-hosted rather than loaded from a CDN, so no third party receives your IP address on page load. If analytics are ever switched on they will be consent-gated exactly as described above.
